National distribution and supply chain
National distribution
We’re a nationwide company serving businesses everywhere.

- Our group ‘direct to store’ capability operates out of 16 regional depots offering individual unit pick delivered direct to store.
- A combination of over 250 Multi-Temp delivery vans allows us to meet the needs of all our customers.
- Only manufacturer in this sector to offer an in house national distribution solution 7 days a week!
Warehouse and picking facilities
FFFN have their own industry leading warehouse management system and technology, dedicated pick / pack and dispatch operation that specialises in the picking and distributing of food-to-go goods.
Our central purpose built hub in the heart of the Midlands allows us hold both frozen and chilled stock with the ability to blast freeze or deep chill.
The picking facility operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week, with a large employed workforce dedicated to single unit picking in a technology led multi temperature controlled modern facility.
The facility distributes customer orders directly to 16 regional hubs across the United Kingdom using modern temperature controlled vehicles on a daily basis – ensuring customers have the freshest stock.
Fleet management
With owning our own fleet of vans, comes a responsibility to the planet. We have a dedicated fleet management group, using logistics planning software which allows us to:
- Reduce the number of unnecessary journeys by optimising vehicle loads.
- Determine the shortest, most optimal and cost-effective routes between multiple locations.
- Follow routes that have the least stops, therefore running vehicle engines at the highest efficiency.
- Measure fuel use and CO2 emissions to set targets and KPIs.
By continually working on reducing miles, through constant journey planning and managing driving behaviour to improve MPG and reduce CO2 emissions, in 2022 we have managed to create another 6.7% reduction in overall miles, since pre-covid levels.
Waste management
Nothing at all from FFFN goes into Landfill and this has been in place for the last 7 years. We have had 100 tonnes of waste in the last year. 95% of this was re-used/re-cycled. Just 4% was sent for recovery. NIL to landfill.
All waste is divided into one of three waste streams.
Re-use
This is food waste going to anaerobic digestion. All FFFN food waste goes into this waste stream.
Recycle
Plastic, cardboard, pallets.
Recover
This is rubbish that cannot be re-used or re-cycled. Its removed and is then processed, ground up into pellets and burnt at power generation plants.
